Update
The Glendye windfarm application for the installation of 26 wind turbines and associated infrastructure was made under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 to the Scottish Government's Energy Consents Unit (ECU).
As with any Section 36 or Section 37 application, the Local Authority is a consultee to the process, and as such, all representations should have been be made to Scottish Government as the determining authority. However, the Council were copied into a large number of representations, and as such, the decision has been made to refer the Planning Services' comments to the Kincardine and Mearns Area Committee on 22 January 2019 and the subsequent Marr Area Committee on 29 January 2019 for views. Thereafter, the views of each Area Committee will be presented to ISC on 14 March 2019.

Glendye Windfarm development.
Feughdee West Community Council (FWCC) presents the following information to help inform the Community about the proposed Glendye Windfarm development.
FWCC has formed a Working Group, with membership which comprises Community Council representatives and local residents, to look at possible impacts from the windfarm – both positive and negative. They are also liaising directly with the Developer through a Community Liaison Group (CLG) to follow progress and to try and influence for community benefit.
An Introductory Information Pack has been compiled with support from the above Groups and forms part of our ongoing communications with the Community. This information has been independently verified to ensure information is as accurate as possible and it is hoped that it will be used by local residents to help them make an informed decision about the windfarm and for their local area.
Please check this page regularly as we will bring more information together as and when we can.
