Local place plan (lpp)

May 2025
Community event 1st June 2025

Thanks to everyone who has participated in the the engagement process both by completing the survey and physical interview and feedback sessions.

The feedback has been excellent and there is a robust consensus for the Local Place Plan and Community Action Plans to roll out the shared vision for the future of our area and a basis for potential community led projects.

There will be a feedback session at the Strachan Village Hall at 3 pm on  Sunday 1st of June  where there will be a short presentation about the results of the survey and the contents of the Plan. There will also be an opportunity to vote on which Community Projects should be prioritised moving forward.

Hope to see you there!

Community Action Plan and Local Place Plan Survey

Click here to take the Survey! https://forms.gle/Uy2KtQf8eEPr51Em9

The survey for the new Feughside Community Action Plan and Local Place Plan is out NOW. The results from this survey will form the basis of both Plans, so it is really important we get as many responses as possible!

What is a Community Action Plan?
A roadmap created by a community to identify goals, priorities, and actions for improving their area. It helps solve local issues and create long-term solutions — such as improving public transport, expanding broadband, upgrading services and hosting more community events.

What is a Local Place Plan?
A new planning tool that gives local communities a say in land use and development. It allows them to propose projects like new walking and cycle paths, conservation areas and improved local amenities. Our plan could directly influence Aberdeenshire Council's planning policies, helping future development better meet our needs.

This is your chance to help forge a vision for Feughside, address the challenges of living here and propose ideas for future projects. The survey also aims to promote greater community engagement, as these projects are only possible when people get involved and volunteer!

Rather a paper survey?
Paper surveys are available by the Comment Box outside Strachan Hall. You can also leave comments there with any extra thoughts or ideas you have for Feughside. Alternatively, you can get in touch via [email protected] or 0749 417 8814 and we will deliver a paper survey directly to you!
